Pastors
Pastor David Henske and Pastor Jennie Jones came to St. John in the summer of 2005. They were each ordained in the summer of 1978 and are graduates of the Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. They were married in the summer of 1977 and have a daughter Megan who lives with her husband Victor Perello in San Antonio.
Pastor David is originally from Houston and has family roots in the Austin County area. Pastor Jennie is from Baltimore, Maryland and still has family there as well as in the Chicago area and Columbus, Ohio.

We, the community of St. John Lutheran Church, are baptized into Christ and called into mission in His name. We share a common faith in God and His promises. Through baptism, God frees us from all that oppresses us; and we are freed for a purpose, to join with Him in His work of humanization and liberation, of salvation and redemption.
