Sr. High LYO Trip to Newman's Castle
The St. John Lutheran Youth Organization of Bellville was treated to a royal tour. Mike Newman of Newman’s Bakery granted the high school youth a grand tour of his castle last Wednesday night. Mr. Newman has spent the last 13 years designing and building his own castle. The youth and sponsors were amazed at the castle, complete with mote and drawbridge. Mr. Newman allowed the youth to take a look into the dungeon, chapel and also the living quarters. It was a treat for the church youth to see what becomes of a man’s dreams and efforts.
We, the community of St. John Lutheran Church, are baptized into Christ and called into mission in His name. We share a common faith in God and His promises. Through baptism, God frees us from all that oppresses us; and we are freed for a purpose, to join with Him in His work of humanization and liberation, of salvation and redemption.
