St. John Lutheran Retreat Center

The beautiful 90 acre retreat is located just off of Hwy 36N - 3 1/2 miles from the courthouse in Bellville.

Our mission is to offer church groups of all faiths an opportunity to come together to enjoy God's creation for meetings and worship opportunities.  Bring your group here to pray, share, worship, fellowship, walking the trails and just enjoy the beautiful surroundings God has blessed us with.

Features of the Retreat:

Mewis Center

A meeting area that can seat 120 around tables and chairs.  It offers a small kitchen and rest rooms.

Covered Shelter

Small covered gathering area with BBQ pit.

Prayer Gazebo

Small outdoor shelter for private prayer and reflection.

The Lake

Can be used for fishing and small canoes

Outdoor Chapel

A glorious worship setting that can seat 500 people.

Camp House

Rustic setting for small gatherings.  Can sleep 6 in bunk beds, kitchen, restroom/shower and meeting area.
